Services

I provide organizing services in Northern Virginia to help you tidy up cluttered spaces. A project can include sorting, purging, cleaning, and restoring order to spaces like:


  • Command Centers and Drop Zones
  • Mud Rooms
  • Closets or Pantries
  • Home Offices
  • Family Rooms
  • Attics / Basements / Garages

Other projects may include situations such as:


  • Emptynesting when children move out
  • Downsizing to a smaller place
  • Preparing for a move
  • Unpacking into a new space

I also provide the following services for additional fees:


  • Finding supplies and products that meet your needs
  • Donating and recycling belongings for you

How I Work

I like to start projects with an initial conversation over the phone to learn more about your situation. Typically this is followed by a one hour meeting on site for $25, which will be waived if you purchase a package. Based upon our converstations I may recommend one of the following packages:


Quick Fix
3 hours for $220.
Great for a small space such as:
  • Coat Closet
  • Command Center
  • Home Entry
All Day
6 hours for $435.
Great for a small room with lots of storage such as:
  • Laundry Room
  • Master Closet
  • Playroom
Clutter Buster
12 hours for $850.
Great for large rooms with lots of storage such as:
  • Basement
  • Home Office
  • Kitchen

For additional organizing services, my rate is $75 per hour. I charge a flat fee of $50 to take up to one carload of unwanted belongings to a donation or recyling center. Payment is due at the time of service unless other agreements have been made in advance in writing. Payment is by cash or check only. Checks should be made out to “Calm Spaces Organizing”. Returned checks will incur an additional fee.


Organizing Supplies

The cost of organizing supplies is the responsibility of the client. Supplies commonly needed to complete an organizing project include shelving, storage containers, file folders, and labels. You have three options for obtaining supplies and products that I may recommend to complete your project:


  • You purchase them on your own time.
  • We shop together.You choose the products you like best and can take them home to start using immediately.
  • I purchase and arrange for delivery to your place.

Shopping rate is also $75 per hour and will not include travel time. No items will be purchased without prior client approval.


Privacy and Confidentiality

Calm Spaces Organizing understands the sensitivity of organizing projects. As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), I strictly adhere to their Code of Ethics. I am committed to treating every client with the highest levels of respect and privacy.


Cancellation Policy

After a contract has been signed a 24 hour cancellation notice is required. Except in an emergency, a cancellation fee of $75 will be assessed to a client who gives notice of cancellation within 24 hours. This fee must be paid in full prior to scheduling any future appointments. In cases of inclement weather, appointments can be rescheduled.
